How to use feedback when choosing pictures
Start with a question you can act on: “Is this portrait a clearer introduction than my current first photo?” is more useful than “Is my profile good enough?”
- Check accuracy first. Remove outdated or misleading images even if you like how they look.
- Compare pictures with similar roles. A portrait and a distant activity shot have different jobs. An activity picture may still help someone start a conversation even if it is not the strongest lead image.
- Change one meaningful thing. Replacing every photo and rewriting every prompt at once makes it difficult to learn what helped.
- Record the context. Note when you changed location, filters or activity level. Those differences can affect who sees your profile.
- Treat a small sample cautiously. A handful of reactions does not support a confident prediction about future matches.
